Open Board and Committee Seats

The Wayne Select Board will consider applications at 6:30 PM on November 3rd for the following open seats:

( 1 ) Planning Board, term expiring June 30, 2029

( 2 ) Planning Board Alternates, term expiring TBD

( 1 ) Local School Committee, term expiring June 30, 2029

The Planning Board shall perform duties expected of Planning Boards under state law and any other applicable ordinances. This ordinance is adopted pursuant to Art. VIII, Part 2 Section 1 of the Maine Constitution and 30-A MR.SA Section 3001.

• The Planning Board consists of five members and two alternate members.
• Members serve five-year terms.
• The Board meets on the third Thursday of each month.

The Wayne Elementary School Committee supports and advocates for the continued success of Wayne Elementary School and its students. The committee reviews matters related to the community, regional education partners, financial decisions, and works to protect the long-term viability of the school. This includes monitoring issues that could affect the school’s future and value of a local elementary school for Wayne families and the community.
