Schools

The Town of Wayne is a member of the Marancook Area School District (RSU #38) with the Towns of Readfield, Manchester and Mount Vernon.  

The Maranacook School District is lead by a Regional Board of Directors consisting of member towns and a Superintendent of Schools. 

Wayne is served by one local elementary school "Wayne Elementary" which teaches grades kindergarten through fifth grade.    
Children in grades 6 through 8 attend Maranacook Middle School  and grades 9 through 12 attend Maranacook Community High School both located in Readfield.
